Mandala Medical Group highlights orthopedic oncologist’s founding role and continued contributions to musculoskeletal oncology education

Morristown, NJ – Thursday, September 18, 2025 — Mandala Medical Group is proud to announce that internationally recognized orthopedic oncologist James C. Wittig, M.D., one of the original founders of the Mount Sinai Musculoskeletal Pathology Course, will participate this year as a distinguished presenter at the 27th Annual Course, taking place September 26–28, 2025.

Dr. Wittig, who recently served as Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Morristown Medical Center and Medical Director of Orthopaedic Oncology and Sarcoma Surgery at Atlantic Health System, has been instrumental in shaping this educational forum. The course brings together global leaders in orthopaedic surgery, pathology, and oncology to advance the diagnosis and treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors.

While he has often served as Course Director in the past, this year, Dr. Wittig’s role is focused on presenting. He will lecture on malignant cartilage tumors and participate in interactive case-based discussions, sharing insights that reflect decades of expertise in musculoskeletal oncology and mentorship of surgeons worldwide.

“I am proud to have helped found this important course and pleased to continue contributing this year as a presenter,” said Dr. Wittig. “It remains a vital platform for collaboration between pathologists, radiologists, and surgeons, ensuring we advance patient care together.”

The course, now directed by Dr. Ilya Iofin and Dr. Roberto A. Garcia, features an international faculty and provides attendees with hands-on exposure to pathology, radiology, and clinical management of musculoskeletal tumors.
